This post just saved us from a nightmare scenario on a feature. I followed the directions and the mind-bending sync problem was history. Many Thanks.

Anyone know a way to normalize multichannel BWF files so that the new levels will show up in an OMF? I'm editing a feature and, while the Normalize filter is great, it doesn't export to OMF. So when I do an export for the "real" sound post guys my levels will all be wonky. Not a desirable thing.

This is great. Seems like a good way to cut together timelapse as well, without tearing through gigs of space.

nope. All that it does is ease the importing of footage. De-jellying is best done with a tripod. Anything after that requires some serious computing time and power, sadly.

The problem with MPEG is that when you generate proxies from camera footage that already HAS timecode, it does not keep it, but starts the new file at 00:00:00;00. This is a hassle, and requires a second pass through FCP to add the code back in.

Does this plugin also take care of the wobbly effects of the 7d and the 5d? Or is that another plugin?
